Shapwick Celebrates Pupils' Achievements
Shapwick School is delighted with the results achieved by its sixth form students this year. The specialist school for children with dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia operates a unique partnership with Bridgwater College whereby sixth form students can pursue any mainstream course at the College plus attend Shapwick School on their study days for coursework/assignment support. Students study from a wide range of options such as A-Levels or BTEC National Diplomas in subjects which include Art, Childcare, Business, Computing, Engineering and Forensic Science.
Jess Rees recently completed the BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design course and was awarded an impressive three distinctions overall. In June Jess’s work was exhibited at the College’s Art Exhibition and Jess was delighted to win the Vice Principal’s prize for Best in Show. Jess is now looking forward to starting her degree course at Falmouth College in September.
