As Deputy Headteacher at Shapwick School, working alongside a highly skilled and dedicated team of fellow professionals, I welcome you to the unique experience that is Shapwick Prep.

As parents, we all want the best education that is available for our children. It is their right.

It is my belief that a well rounded, appropriate education, where trust, respect and tolerance, with a sense of fun, is a pre-requisite to a happy and successful adult life.

Many of our pupils arrive as a shadow of their former selves, unwilling or unable to embrace the learning process any more. They are exhausted by the whole experience, as you are. My colleagues and I will enter into a relationship with you and your son/daughter and plan an individual programme to begin the process of re-igniting the flame of learning and discovery. A sense of self-worth and belonging will be nurtured and the building blocks for life will be de-mystified.

Our ultimate goal is, through providing a unique and effective opportunity, tailored to meet your son/daughter’s individual needs, each pupil in our charge will find a route through to ultimately realising their true potential and a brighter future.
