Shapwick School

Pupils at Shapwick Prep School had great fun marking World Book Day by coming to school dressed as a character from their favourite book.

Pupils at Shapwick School recently enjoyed a day out of their usual school uniform and raised an impressive £456.44 for the Haiti appeal.

Children and staff at Shapwick Prep bid an emotional farewell to their much loved secretary, Kay Apperley, who retired on the 29th January 2010 after an astonishingly dedicated and loyal 32 years’ of service.

Year 7 pupils at Shapwick Prep School recently enjoyed a very successful outing to Tropiquaria near Minehead as part of their Life Science studies.

A few weeks ago Year 8 pupil Phoebe Corp from Doulting brought her pet dog Freddy to Shapwick Prep School to demonstrate to her classmates why she had won a rosette for Junior Dog Handler.

Shapwick School has marked the start of the new school year by launching its new website (www.shapwickschool.com). The exciting new site includes comprehensive information about all aspects of the school which specialises in supporting children aged 6 to 19 who have dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.
