Gifted and Talented
For the past 3 years Shapwick Prep has selected some of the most able athletes across both Shapwick Schools and provided the opportunity to develop their skills and fitness in a more competitive environment. Currently our training is mainly Aquathlon based (running and swimming) and pupils have competed in regional events. We have some promising young athletes who have already done very well: Andrew Bowen winning the U15 Clevedon Aquathlon and Alexandra Hamlin-McCorry consistently being placed in the top three at U11 events in both Cheddar and Burnham-on-Sea. This is an area Shapwick Prep is looking to expand and there may be some very interesting developments over the coming year. Watch this space…..
