Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award

On Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June, year 9 and 10 pupils completed their Bronze practice expedition as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

They walked and navigated from Badgworth and Weare to the campsite, where they put up tents and cooked.  The following day they had to strike camp and walk for approximately 6 hours back to school.  The groups developed many skills over the two days including teamwork, communication and camp craft.  They are now prepared for their assessed expedition in a few weeks’ time.
