6th Form LSA

6th Form is looking for an LSA with Specialist Educational Needs training and particular knowledge and working experience of Asperger’s, to work alongside a student both at Shapwick School and Strode College.

Approximately 30 hours per week for a fixed term until the end of June, however this post may be extended into the academic year 2017-18.

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Band 6 post, Point dependent on experience

Term time only plus inset days

To include Saturday morning working

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Speech and Language Therapist for September 2017 to join our existing dynamic Therapy Team consisting of 4 other Speech and Language Therapists and 2 Occupational Therapists. The successful candidate will provide assessment and therapy to pupils, input to the school staff teams (academic and pastoral) and give advice to parents at this specialist school for pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties.


· Registered member of RCSLT

· Registered member of HCPC

· 5 years post-qualification experience

· Knowledge and experience of high functioning ASD

· Knowledge of SpLD

Initially the post is for two days plus Saturday mornings but there is likely to be potential for this to increase over time.

Maths Lead

We are seeking an excellent, well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to Lead Maths across the school, KS2 to GCSE level and co-ordinate Maths at Post-16

The successful candidate will have a passion for this subject and be able to deliver high quality, individualised and creative lessons
