BBC RADIO 2 - 500 WORDS COMPETITION

Ten creative and imaginative year 7 and 8 students took up the challenge set by Radio 2 disc jockey, Chris Evans, and the Top Gear presenter , Richard Hammond to create their own stories of no more than 500 words. The students put their thinking hats on and produced incredible, imaginative stories on a diverse spectrum which hopefully will catch the eye of the judges. Mrs Savage volunteered, and was seconded by Mrs Baker, to become one of the many hundreds of judges this year; unfortunately she will not be allowed to judge our entries, not that she would cheat of course!

The writers of the 50 top stories will join the judges and the Duchess of Cornwall at St James’ Palace for the final announcement. The winner will get to choose his or her own height in books for themselves and their school. The stories will be displayed around school in the coming weeks.
