Year 7 Visits New Barn Field Centre

On Friday 16th March, Mrs. Gorodi, Mr. Hewett and year 7 pupils, loaded spare clothes, wellington boots and a delicious packed lunch, onto the school mini bus for a geography field trip.

After just over an hour's journey, we arrived safely at New Barn Field Centre near Dorchester. The morning activities included shelter building and team building games whilst pupils put there map reading skills into practise during the afternoon's orienteering session. Luckily nobody got lost although quite a few were rather out of breathe when they had finished. The day ended with a chance to meet some of the New Barn residents, including Nelson, the very popular, orphaned lamb.

Despite the rather chilly weather (which only Mrs Gorodi and Mr. Hewett noticed) a fun filled and exhausting day was had by all. I am sure all the pupils would like to thank Adam and Little Adam for all their hard work to make our day such a great success.
